France's Bishops Praise Abortion Legislating Simone Veil as "Very Great"

(Paris) Last Friday, June 30, Simone Veil died shortly before her 90th birthday. The French Bishops' Conference left a breathless Twitter message upon her death to praise her her as "very great".

Brilliant political career

Veil 2008

Simone Veil has held the highest political positions. She was French Minister of Health (1974-1979 and 1993-1995, at the time under the Socialist President Mitterand) and first president of the first directly elected European Parliament (1979-1982). Above all, she was the first woman in this office. In 1982 she was honored with the Karlspreis of Aachen. From 1984-1989, she was President of the Liberal Group in the European Parliament and from 1998-2007 Member of the French Constitutional Court. For a better understanding, she has been part of the Liberal Party Union of the Démocrates et Indépendants (UDI) since 2012 , which cooperates with the US Democratic Party at the international level.
Veil, born in Nice in 1927 as a daughter of Jewish parents, by the architect André Jacob and by Yvonne Steinmetz, was taken to Auschwitz concentration camp in March 1944. Her mother did not survive the imprisonment.  Even she herself appeared up to the 80's in databases also among the Holocaust victims. In reality, she had survived National Socialism and had studied law in Paris after the war. Since 1957, she has worked in the French Ministry of Justice, and in 1974 she became Minister of Justice in the government of Prime Minister Jacques Chirac. As such, she passed the notorious French Abortion Act, which had been engineered by her.

The Loi Veil

The French parliament voted on 29 November 1974 at 3:40 am for the Loi Veil.  The voices of the Left opposition were decisive. In 1973, the bourgeois alliance was composed of Gaullists. Christian Democrats and Liberals which won parliamentary elections, and in May 1974 also presidential elections. The Liberal Giscard d'Estaing became president. The Left Alliance, led by François Mitterrand, of socialists, communists, and leftists had suffered a double defeat and was in the opposition. In the vote on Simone Veil's abortion law, however - as now in the German Bundestag in the vote on the "homosexual marriage" - the faction was annulled. The bourgeois presidential majority held a large majority of 302 out of 490 seats in parliament. The liberals, to which Veil belonged, wanted, however, with no less vehemence the legalization of the killing of unborn children than the political left. The left-wing opposition, which voted unanimously for abortion, and one-third of the bourgeois coalition government created ad hoc and otherwise non-existent parliamentary majority. Simone Veil became the model of feminism that was internationally celebrated by the Left and the Liberals.
On January 17, 1975, the abortion law came into force and became the largest mass grave of all French history. According to the Historical abortion statistics - France by Robert Johnston, which is based on official data, Veil's killing laws have already claimed 33,454 unborn children in 1975. According to official data, the French Abortion Act has so far has demanded nearly the deaths of 7,500,000. The number of children killed per year is indicated by more than 200,000 by the competent authorities.
On March 3, 1975, shortly after the law came into force, Simone Veil told Times magazine:
"With a change of law it is basically possible to change the human behavioral model. I find that fascinating."
Today, more than 95 percent of French gynecologists practice abortion or are prepared to do so. Less than five percent use a limited right to refuse conscientious objection. This is only for doctors, but not for pharmacists (morning after pill, etc.). Anyone who refuses on grounds of conscience have to bear serious professional disadvantages. He is consistently discriminated against during the search for job vacancies. The chances of a job as a primary are reduced to zero.

Unintelligible words of the bishops

Tweet of the French bishops

In view of the immense ocean blood that Simone Veil caused by her abortion law, from which she never distanced herself, but which she defended until the very end and celebrated for it, the Twitter message of the French bishops is an incomprehensible scandal. The French abortionist par excellence was uncritically offered incense. The abortion victims, who are almost 7.5 million innocent, unborn children (in reality, more likely, more) who have fallen victim to Veil's law were not mentioned. The bishops thus behave no differently than the abortion ideologists. The unborn children are nowhere to be seen. They simply do not exist. They must be dehumanized and reified in order to be able to eliminate them without a rebellion of conscience.
The bishops wrote:
"We salute your greatness as a woman of state, your will, to fight for a fraternal [Masonic?] Europe, your conviction that abortion is a drama."
Mauro Faverzani wrote in the Corrispondenza Romana: "The idea is simply paradoxical to think that someone who has done everything to legalize and liberalize abortion can really see it this way," as the bishops have now claimed.
This distorted recounting of the bloody reality by the bishops is not really surprising. When Simone Veil was elected in November 2008 with 22 of 29 votes to chair the Académie française, founded in 1634, the Catholic hierarchy uttered not a word of disapproval, nor even a sign of indignation.

"Veil remains immortal" - award from the Grand Orient of France

France's Socialist President Emmanuel Macron published a long statement on Veil's death. In it he wrote:
"Grieving France expresses its gratitude to Madame Simone Veil."
Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy, a representative of the bourgeois Les Républicains, said:
"Simone Veil remains immortal."
Their "immortality" annually costs more than 200,000 children.

Simone Veil

Simone Veil was the last to celebrate her "work of life", whose only real "achievement", which made her internationally known, was the abortion law. On April 8, 2016, she was honored by the Grand Orient of France, the largest and most powerful Freemasonry in France. In the presence of Senate President Gerard Larcher, Grand Master Daniel Keller personally presented Jacques France's "Marianne" to Jean and Pierre-François Veil, her two sons who received the honors for Simone Veil.
On this occasion, Grandmaster Keller said that the Marianne was "a testimony of the attachment and recognition of the Greater Orient of France to Simone Veil, our sister of our heart." Keller praised Veil's "Republican activism" and her "struggle for women's empowerment, the daughter of secularism, which is the core of Masonic activity." He also praised her abortion law as,
"The symbol of the improvement in man and the society in which the Freemasons work: this law remains a pillar of our society."
The news agency Médias-Presse-Info wrote:
"Every day in France, killing hundreds of children in the womb of their mothers is thus a pillar of the society that the Masonic Sect wants."

"Nevertheless the Church remained silent" - parallel to the case Emma Bonino

Mauro Faverzani wrote on the behavior of Catholic bishops:
"Nevertheless, the French church remained silent, always, and was distinguished only by its muteness. Only on the occasion of Simone Veil's death did it open its mouth."
The case of Veil is reminiscent of the Bonin or Emma Bonino case, as Veil from a middle-class house, driven by a radical attitude, became the central figure in the enforcement of the abortion law in Italy. Like Veil, she was honored as a minister and with high offices at the European level. At the beginning of February 2016 Pope Francis praised Emma Bonino pas "very great1) The bishops of France now offer Simone Veil the same praise.

Cardinal Sarah: The Church is Unshakably Established -- Despite Noisy Popes

"Paradoxically, there have been many chatty theologians for many thousands of years, many noisy popes, many presumptuous, self-confident followers of the apostles. But the Church is unshakably established upon Peter, the rock, and Mount Golgotha. "

Cardinal Müller and Cardinal Marx Join Forces Against the SSPX in Germany

[Katholisches] We document here a letter from Reinhard Cardinal Max, expressly forbidding the marriages conducted by priests belonging to the Priestly Society of St. Pius X.

To the
Honorable
Members of the Permanent Council of
the German Bishops' Conference
__________________________________
To the
Highly Honorable Members of
the German Bishops' Conference
and the Vicars General
___________________________________
Most honorable gentlemen,
The Cardinal Prefect of the Pontifical Commission Ecclesia Dei, Cardinal Gerhard Müller had addressed my letter of May 11, 2017,  delivered to the consideration Permanent Council in which I expressed my concern about the possibility of granting authority to the priests of the Priestly Brotherhood of St. Pius X. on (on June 1, 2017). It expresses in its reply an understanding of our concern about the "still ongoing ecclesiastical illegality of the Society of St. Pius and the situation which has not yet been clarified" and stresses that it is "in the competence of the respective local ordinarius" to whom it grants the authority to conclude a marriage. He explained that the decisions taken by Pope Francis in favor of the pastoral needs of believers are determined by the consideration that the Priestly Fraternity is on its way to full communion.
Since we are able to meet the pastoral needs of the faithful who request a marriage in the liturgy of the Vetus ordo (extraordinary rite), by applying our guidelines for the Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum for the German dioceses of 2007, the Permanent Council of 19 June, 2017 reaffirmed its decision of April.
In order to promote uniform handling in the German (Arch) dioceses, the Permanent Council has decided to make a corresponding text proposal available to members of the Permanent Council for publication in the Official Journal ( Annex ).
In this way, in agreement with the Cardinal Prefect, we take appropriate account both of the pastoral requirements and the church circumstances.
Oremus pro invicem.
Yours sincerely,
Reinhard Cardinal Marx
Annex to the letter of the chairman of the German Bishops' Conference (PA V 3044)
In agreement with the Cardinal Prefect of the Pontifical Commission, Ecclesia Dei, the Permanent Council of 19 / June decided:
Appeals from the faithful requesting a marriage in the liturgy of the Vetus ordo (ritus extraordinarius) are to be passed on to the respective ordinaries. This will ensure that the request is taken into account and that a priest is entrusted, according to the guidelines for the Summorum Pontificum of 2017. The marriage preparation, the preparation of the marriage protocol and the registration of the marriage are carried out according to the ecclesiastical provisions. There is no provision for granting power to priests belonging to the Priestly Fraternity of St. Pius X.

French Bishop Consecrates Priest With Pagan Rites -- "Worst Bishop in France"

(Paris) Bishop François Fonlupt has been the diocesan bishop of the French diocese of Rodez since 2011. The Catholic columnist, Francisco Fernandez de la Cigoña, calls him the "perhaps worst bishop in France." The occasion for the indignation is a priestly consecration, which Bishop Fonlupt offered at the Cathedral of Rodez last June 25th.

Msgr. Fonlupt, 62 years old, was consecrated by Pope Benedict XVI. as diocesan bishop. "His appointment seemed to me a misfortune. This has been confirmed," says Fernandez de la Cigoña. What is serious is that "the popes do not examine it beforehand." At least, as far as France is concerned, "the appointments of Pope Francis do not seem worse to me than those of his predecessor."

"Why do not the popes check beforehand?"

On the Pontifical appointment policy for France, Fernandez de la Cigoña says: "Some say that Benedict, as far as the bad appointments are concerned, did not know who he was, but Francis does. I can not say whether the latter is true, but I am convinced that Benedict was not informed."

Msgr. François Fonlupt

Fernandez de la Cigoña also writes clearly: "Fonlupt was bad before his appointment, was bad at the time of his appointment and has been bad since his appointment. He is probably the worst bishop in France. "

The reason for the columnist's outrage, whose grandfather, because Catholic, was murdered by members of the Popular Front (Communists, Socialists, Anarchists, Radical Legionaries) is a video of a priestly ordination given by Bishop Fonlupt a few days ago. What happened on 25 June in the Cathedral of Radez was "absolutely painful." Bishop Fonlupt consecrated a Tamil deacon to the priesthood.

Bishop gives priest consecration with the "third eye"

Ritual dancers in the altar room

The "inculturation" was pushed to the summit in the consecration. Only the miter of the bishop can be seen as a Christian symbol. For the rest it is unclear whether it is Indian folklore or forms of syncretism. "I do not know where these ritual forms come from, whether they belong to the Brahman caste, which is hardly conceivable for Tamils, whether they are used for the worship of Vishnu or Kali. It seems to me, however, that they have nothing to do with the confection of the sacrament of Holy Orders in a French church." This was especially true of the "third eye," the "Bindi," a religious symbol of Tantric Hinduism, which the bishop wore on his forehead during the liturgy. Hinduism maintains the place as a chakra, an "energy center" and the seat of a "secret knowledge". In the West, the "third eye" is mainly concerned with esotericism. But Christianity is not a secret doctrine.

The same applies to the execution of the offertory and ritual Hindu dances, which were performed in the sanctuary. "The Holy Liturgy of the Church has lost nothing to Hinduism."

Communion for remarried divorced

Bishop Fonlupt is already engaging the "new practice" of offering the Holy Communion to married divorced people. When he was still active as a parish priests in Clermont-Ferrand, he denied the real presence of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist. All this did not prevent the Apostolic Nuncio for France, Archbishop Luigi Ventura from proposing Fonlupt to the Vatican as a suitable candidate for the Bishop's seat of Rodez. Such a recommendation could scarcely be imagined without a corresponding reference by a French Archbishop to the Cardinal. Pope Benedict XVI had only received a certificate of appointment, submitted for signature.

François Fonlupt, born in 1954, was ordained priest for the Diocese of Clermont in 1979. The diocese of Rodez, to which he has been responsible since 2011, dates back to the 5th century. With 280,000 inhabitants, Catholics have a share of 97 percent of the population. The number of practicing Catholics, however, is very low. If the diocese still had 638 parishes in 1980, it is now only 36. The number of priests shrank in the same period from 615 to 160. Tendency: rapidly falling. In 1950, for every priest there were 300 Catholics, there are today 1,700. The figures, however, must not obscure the fact that the priestly vocations depend not on the number of Catholics on paper, but on the existence of practicing Catholics who take their faith seriously and ask for priestly services from God.

Laos: New Cardinal Imprisoned by the Communists for Three Years

Cardinal Ling had proclaimed the Gospel without permission from the government. The three years in prison were necessary for his conversion and purification, he says retrospectively - with VIDEO Pakse

(kath.net/CWN/jg) Louis-Marie Ling Mangkhanekhoun, apostolic vicar of Pakse (Laos) and one of the cardinals who were created on 28 June, spent three years in prison during his communist regime.

His "offense" was to proclaim the gospel in villages and prisons without permission from the government. In 1984 the then 40-year-old was arrested and accused of "propaganda for Jesus".

He was in prison three years with chains on my arms and legs, he recalls. The time was essential for his inner formation. It was necessary for the "conversion and purification" of his person and also for others, he says retrospectively.

Scholas Occurrentes: Pope's Video Message for a "Culture of Encounter" Without Christ

(Rome) In Jerusalem, a multi-day congress was held at the Hebrew University of the Pontifical Schola Occurrentes Foundation. Pope Francis transmitted a video message to yesterday's meeting. The Pope turned to the international audience in Spanish. As in the past, the Embassy lacked any relation to religion. The words "God", "Jesus", "Christ" or "Lord" did not pass the lips of the Pope. He called for a global world of unity in diversity and a "culture of encounter".

Scholas Occurrentes is a project in cooperation with state and private schools founded by Jorge Mario Bergoglio when he was still Archbishop of Buenos Aires. After his election to the Pope he gave the project the legal form of a papal foundation and settled it in the Vatican. In the meantime, more than 400,000 schools in over 80 countries are involved worldwide, according to the Foundation.

The project wants to educate "peace", "dialogue" and "encounter".

Scholas Occurrentes is regarded as a favorite project by Pope Francis, which has been criticized several times in the past. It was known that the pope's name was used for gambling, and that the foundation, on papal instructions, refused a substantial donation by the incumbent Argentine president, apparently because he belonged to the "false party", and finally that the foundation supports gender ideology with its publications in Spanish speaking areas. All in all, doubts about the "pedagogical revolution" that Francis was pursuing with the Foundation were voiced.

"Civil Society" instead of Christianity?

The project is therefore very popular with ministries of education, school authorities and administrators because the religious aspect is completely thrown out. Neither God nor Christianity play a role. They are not even mentioned. The project focuses on "civil society" education on "peace, peaceful coexistence , dialogue and encounter."

In his numerous speeches and messages, which Pope Francis addressed to Schola's Occurentes in the past four years, Christ and the Christian faith never appeared. In his videotape, Francis spoke of "variety" and "diversity" that "breathe all the same air" and "inhabit the same earth", which is "the common house." Everyone has "their history", but "all live together". This is also the model given by Jerusalem. It is about "openness", as the Church chief emphasized several times, and is therefore "without prejudice."

According to the Pope, the goal of Scholas Occurrentes is to create a "culture of encounter". The Pope said "no to unity," but yes to "commonality in cultural diversity".

New Archbishop of Milan Will be General Vicar Mario Delphini

Cardinal Angelo Scola should be retired tomorrow due to age.
His successor in all likelihood is to be Vicar General Mario Delphini

(Rome) Monsignor Mario Delpini, the previous Vicar General of the Archdiocese, is to become the new Archbishop of Milan. The northern Italian Archdiocese, which is not the Roman Rite, but the Ambrosian Rite, is one of the most important dioceses in the world. The Archbishop is still Angelo Cardinal Scola, the opponent of Pope Francis in the conclave of 2013, who is in good health but has also completed his 75th year of life in November 2016, and therefore presented the canonical request for resignation to the Pope.

Monsignor Mario Delpini

The appointment of Monsignor Delpini will be announced by the Vatican, "subject to a change in the last hour", on Friday. This is reported by the papal House Vaticanist Andrea Tornielli on Vatican Insider.
Thus Pope Francis chose the candidate who had been the favorite among the consulters in the diocese. According to Tornielli, it was Cardinal Scola who had asked the Pope to make the appointment before the summer so that after the summer the "pastoral year could begin with the new Archbishop."
Mgr. Delpini entered the Archdiocesan Seminary in 1967 and was ordained priest in 1975 by the then Archbishop Giovanni Cardinal Colombo. He studied Patristics at the Augustinianum in Rome and taught Greek and Patristics at the Milan seminaries.
Cardinal Martini made him the rector of the Seminary. Under Cardinal Tettamanzi, he became auxiliary bishop in 2007. Cardinal Scola, who was Patriarch of Venice until Pope Benedict XVI. in 2011 called him to the bishop's chair of St. Ambrose, made the auxiliary bishop his Vicar General. In 2014, he also entrusted him with the training of the clergy.
Tornielli emphasizes that Delpini is a "choice of continuity." He had served the "last three archbishops," Martini, Tettamanzi, and Scola, "spiritual, humble but not submissive, a great worker, but far from the type of manager bishop, and he attaches great importance to personal relationships with priests," says Tornielli. He was on the road in the city.

"Group elevation" to make adolescents "actors"

The Auxiliary Bishop Delpini engaged in liturgical relativism for World Youth Day 2013 through liturgical relativism. Delpini celebrated a Holy Mass with the young people of the Archdiocese before their departure for Rio de Janeiro.
Katholisches.info reported at the time:
"At the end of the high feast, the episcopal 'superintendant' of the celebration celebrated not only with his priestly concelebrants, but youths, specially called to the altar, to elevate the chalices with the Precious Blood of Christ and the Hosts with the Body of Christ. Apart from the fact that normally only one chalice and a ciborium with the consecrated hosts are raised, even if several are used: the group elevation was not carried out by priests or deacons, who stood idly in the background, but by young laymen, girls and fellows who had previously been fished out of the church nave by the coordinating priest.
The embarrassed facial expressions of the young people in the pictures are quite telling. You clearly are in the wrong place. There is no cross on the altar. It was forgotten in the zeal of a conspicuous priesthood of all believers. The Lord is hanging on the side wall in the background. The photo was even published on the website of the church newspaper IncrociNews of the Archdiocese of Milan, among the official reports on World Youth Day 2013 .
The example shows that they are priests who behave like elephants in the liturgical china shop.
The Archbishop's Liturgy Commissioner tried to defend the Auxiliary Bishop and Vicar General against the criticism, which did not exactly improve the situation. Msgr Pierantonio Tremolada wrote:
"I am absolutely convinced that the gesture was intended to give the young people the feeling of being actors during the week of World Youth Day" (as the Pope said yesterday). Moreover, we are not sure that it was decided by S. Ex. Mons. Delpini. The leaders of the celebration do not always decide the liturgical gestures, sometimes at the last moment they execute them at the instruction of others."
The liturgy commissioner did not go into the gesture. On the contrary, the reference to the pope made it clear that he did not bother.
By tomorrow's appointment, Pope Francis will have appointed the metropolitans of the three largest, most prestigious and wealthy archbishoprics in the world within three years with Cologne, Chicago and Milan.

Pope's Favorite Newspaper Opens the Hunt Against New CDF

"La Repubblica" and the Politics of Scorched Earth
(Rome) Pope Francis appointed a New Faith Prefect last Saturday to get rid of the old one. Because of these "necessities", the number two of the Roman Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith is now number one. On Monday, the only daily newspaper that the pope regularly reads, already opened its hunt for the new CDF Prefect.

La Repubblica disapproves of the nomination of Ladarias as a Prefect of Doctrine and the Faith

In his home country of Spain, Luis Ladaria SJ enjoys the good reputation of orthodoxy. Apart from the unusual circumstances of his appointment, the latter was largely positive. The pope's decision obviously followed tactical considerations, in order for the dismissal of Cardinal Miiller not to result in a revolt. Francis did not impress La Repubblica , the flagship of Italian left-wing journalism. The only newspaper he reads every day, according to his own statements, contained a "message" to the head of the Church on Monday: a disapproval of the appointment of Ladarias.
For La Repubblica, the new Prefect is "too conservative" in any case. There is also a fundamental aversion to the institution which was the former Holy Inquisition. La repubblica, of course, does not write this.  It attacks with the dirt bucket and goes to the "tried and tested" way of denunciation. "Pedophilia: a shadow on Bishop Ladaria," is the headline, and the same on the title page. To this end, the archive photo of a rally in front of St Peter's was reprinted against sexual abuse by clerics. The is a banner with an inscription "Church without abuse." The actual article can be found on page 15. The title reads: "He did not expose the pedophile priest. The Shadow on the Chief of the Holy Office."

The case of ex-priest Gianni Trotta

One of the two authors is the expose journalist Emiliano Fittipaldi, who was brought to justice in connection with the Vatican's Vatileaks 2 scandal. He was accused of having published confidential documents from the Vatican in his book "Avarizia" (avarice), published in late 2015. As the court was not able to prove any criminal offense, he was released a year ago, while the Vatican employees who had supplied him and another journalist with the documents, the Spanish Prelate Lucio Angel Vallejo Balda, and the busybody PR wife, Francesca Chaouqui.

La Repubblica has blown the Tally-ho against the new Prefect

The Catalan daily newspaper La Vanguardia took up the Repubblica article and titled it: "New crisis in the Vatican: Ladaria, recent appointment of the Pope, covered a case of pederasty. Shadow over the new Prefect of the Congregation of the Faith." This is about the case of an Italian priest named Gianni Trotta, who was removed in 2012 by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith from the clerical state. Trotta then became a soccer coach and abused minor children. In spring 2015 he was arrested and sentenced to eight years imprisonment by an Italian criminal court. The case had been reported in great detail by Repubblica and L'Espresso, the weekly magazine, last February.
The Congregation conducted the trial of the 49-year-old Trotta in 2009, which ended with the maximum sentence, the laicizationRepubblica criticizes the fact that Trotta was condemned by the Vatican but that the judgment was not publicly disclosed. In this way the people had not been warned in some small places in Puglia. In addition, Trotta, who was active as a coach of children's teams, continued to work as a priest, to gain people's confidence.
The crime of abuse relevant to criminal law were all committed after he had been laicized. This applies to the abuse of an eleven-year-old boy, for which he was sentenced to eight years in the first instance. This also applies to other cases of abuse involving the production and distribution of child pornography, for which he will soon be responsible. Repubblica criticizes the fact that they might have been prevented if the Vatican had made the case public. The daily newspaper even goes so far as to blame Ladaria for having "covered up" a case of pedophilia. The concept of cover-up is overshadowed here because Ladaria was not involved in the cover-up, but in the condemnation of Trotta.

Politics of the Scorched Earth at La Repubblica

The decree of laicization from 2012 was signed by Cardinal Levada. Then Cardinal Levada, and Ladaria, was then secretary of the Congregation. Repubblica , however, makes a cover-up of the conviction. According to Repubblica, the Congregation of the Faith would have had to publicly denounce Trotta. A doubtful demand to the Church, in which a maxim is to be hard against sin, but mild to the sinner. Repubblica's fretting, therefore, is probably more about something else.
The new Prefect,  Luis Ladaria Ferrer, is virtually unknown to the general public, including most Catholics. The Repubblica article guarantees that his name is immediately placed in a negative context. "The Prefect did not bring the pedophile ex-priest to the public,"... "cover-up of a pedophile scandal" are the headlines spread over media and social networks. It's an imagery that can hardly be bettered. What is the purpose of La Repubblica with the immediate tally-ho on the newly named Prefect?
When Pope Francis was elected, Eugenio Scalfari, the founder and father of La Repubblica, was his preferred partner. The result was several interviews and editorials of doubtful content. In the meantime, it has become quieter because the confessed atheist from a family with an old Masonic tradition, whom Pope Francis "does not want to convert", is already in his 94th year.
The fact is that this is the message that La Repubblica has noted with satisfaction the dismissal of Cardinal Müller and has declared the hunt for his successor.

Cardinal Müller: "I can not accept this style" -- Words About His Firing

Edit: sure flies in the face of John Allen's soft-soaping. Here's the interview from BR24, Passauer Neue Presse, which we thank for the clever German blog Nur Eine Kreuzmappe.
Gerhard Cardinal Ludwig Müller let fly a criticism of Pope Francis He told the "Passauer Neuen Presse" that Pope Francis had given him the decision not to prolong his term as Prefect of the Congregation of the Faith on the last day of his mandate "within a minute".

"I can not accept this style," said Müller. The social doctrines of the Church must also be valid for dealing with Roman Church employees. When asked about his current relationship with the Pope, Müller referred to the statements of Francis himself, who said that "the relationship was always very good." Müller could confirm, "This is still true today."

"Not to be hitched to the cart"

MORE ON THE SUBJECT

Articlereactions to Pope's decision, the uncomfortable Cardinal

The Pope had made this decision, which he was entitled to. "I will not answer with any actions." He did not want to be "hitched to the wagon of a movement critical of the pope," even though some think it. ""As Cardinal, I continue to be responsible for ensuring the unity of the Church and preventing polarization as far as possible."
Müller does not have a new specific task yet. To the Pope, he offered himself in the interview as an intermediary for a conversation with the three still living Cardinals cardinals, who had publicly expressed their doubts about Francis' teaching on marriage. The fourth signatory of a corresponding letter, Cardinal Joachim Meisner, had died in Bad Füssing on Wednesday. Müller said he could moderate such a conversation between the three Cardinals and the Pope "because I have the competence and the sense of responsibility for it."

Always loyal

The former prefect of faith, said that it would have been better if the letter of the Cardinals had not been publicly discussed with their doubts. He himself had "never struck one side or the other," but had always been loyal to the pope and wanted to remain so in the future. The interpretations of the papal letter, "Amoris Laetitia," presented by Cardinal Christoph Schönborn and by Cardinal Walter Kasper, were described by Müller as "not convincing". However, a large symposium of "real experts" could ensure that the balancing act between teaching and pastoral success is achieved.
Mueller said he had telephoned Cardinal Meisner on Tuesday evening, and shortly before his death. "He told me that he felt in good health, but he was very concerned about the situation in the Catholic Church," he said of Meisner. The fact that the Pope had not extended his term as Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, had "personally moved and injured," Meisner.
